On paper, then with jobmate
Three things that go wrong on the whiteboard
- 01On paper
The week is on a whiteboard in the office. The engineer rings in to ask what is next, and the customer rings in to ask when.
With jobmateThe planner shows each employee's shift, skills and base. Drag the job to a slot, add the travel time, and the day's list updates on every phone.
- 02On paper
An emergency job comes in and somebody has to work out who is free, who is qualified and who is nearest.
With jobmateFind a last-minute slot by skill set: the planner shows who has the skill and the gap, so the job goes to the right person first time.
- 03On paper
Holiday, sickness and shift patterns live in a separate spreadsheet, so jobs get planned onto people who are not there.
With jobmateAbsence and shift times sit on the same planner as the jobs, so a slot that is not there is never offered.
The planner
One timeline for the whole team
Each employee has a shift, a set of skills and a base address. Jobs, appointments, travel time and breaks are blocks on their timeline, in a day, week or month view. Drag a block to move it; drag a job from the unplanned list to plan it.
- Day, week and monthZoom from today's run to the month ahead without changing screens.
- Skills and shiftsThe planner knows who is an electrician, who is skilled and who is on shift.
- Travel timeAdd the drive to each job so the day on the planner is the day on the road.

On the phone
The same day, on the engineer's phone
jobmate runs on Google Play and in any browser, with the same screens on phone, tablet and desktop. The engineer opens the planner and sees today's jobs, their times and customers; start, pause and end the task to record travelling and working time.
- Phone, tablet, desktopOne product, the same flows on every device.
- Start, pause, endTime tracking on each task, so the timesheet writes itself.
- Changes reach everyoneMove a job in the office and the engineer's day updates.

The office view
Every job by status, and today's on the map
The dashboard counts jobs as Unplanned, Part Planned, Planned, On Hold, In Progress, Complete and Overdue, and puts today's jobs on a map. GPS tracking and timestamps on Pro and Enterprise show where the work was done and when.
- Seven statusesFrom Unplanned to Overdue, counted on the dashboard.
- Today's jobs on a mapCustomers located by what3words, with your choice of routing app.
- Filter the jobsBy status, employee or customer, from the same screen.
