A building job is a quote, then a job with many tasks, then materials, then subcontractors, then variations, then an invoice that has to account for all of it. jobmate manages every aspect of a trades or construction business from the initial enquiry onwards, with the tasks, materials and subcontractors in one place.
Amendments are managed with working copies, so the job that was quoted and the job that was built are both on the record when the invoice is raised.

The jobs that go wrong on a construction contract rarely go wrong on site. They go wrong in the gaps between the quote, the materials, the subbie and the invoice.

The quote was for a rewire. The customer wants the kitchen moved too.
Create the job from the quote, then manage the amendment with a working copy. Items added to the job update the inventory and the invoice total.

The electrician is on site and needs a consumer unit that is in the other van.
The stock item shows the quantity in Van One, Van Two and the main warehouse. Transfer it, and the movement is recorded.

The plastering is subcontracted. The subbie needs the drawings, the dates and the price.
Subcontracting manages multiple subcontractors, tenders the work, sends the job information and communicates jobmate-to-jobmate or by email.

The job is done. The invoice is a Friday-night reconstruction from three notebooks.
Completing the job lists the tasks and items with the subtotal, tax and total, takes the customer's signature, and the invoice is raised from it.

A job task carries the task details, an asset, a checklist, time tracking, HSSE requirements, notes and the customer's details. Bespoke checklists capture comments, geo-tags and timestamps on completion and go to the customer to confirm.

Materials counted where they are
Stock locations for vans and the yard, items with multiple part numbers and supplier prices, purchase orders and low-stock notifications, and items booked off the location they came from.
Subcontractors on the record
Tender the work, send the job information and keep the communication on the job, jobmate-to-jobmate or by email. A quote can go to a subcontractor for approval before you commit.
